Basic Equipment Needed for School

For every lesson, students need blue/black pens (preferably ballpoint), a pencil, ruler, pencil sharpener, rubber and felt tips or coloured pencils.

At the start of each year, students are issued with book covers/folders for all subjects at a cost of £5 per child.

Please mark your child's clothes & belongings either with name tapes or with an indelible marking pen.

Equipment needed for individual subjects:

Maths

• Basic Maths equipment and calculator for every lesson is essential.
• Basic Maths equipment available for £1 from the Maths Faculty.
• Scientific calculator is also available for £5.

Science

• Basic equipment.
• Calculator (as for Maths) compass, Science stencil.

Food Studies

• Basic equipment plus apron (bib style, nylon or cotton).
• Ingredients when cooking (details will be given).

PE

• Make sure that your daughter/son has the correct PE kit packed in their bag the night before. See the 'Uniform' page for details of the correct PE kit.

French

• Basic equipment plus a French/English bi-lingual dictionary.

Spanish

• Basic equipment plus a Spanish/English bi-lingual dictionary.

Humanities & Modern Studies

• Basic equipment.

English

• Basic equipment plus an English dictionary.

Technology

• Basic equipment.
