Get the Homework Habit!

The Relaunch of Homework at Ridgeway High School! | ![]() |
After a term of preparation and consultation with staff, pupils and parents, we have a shiny new Homework policy and each year group will now have its own Homework Timetable! This means that from Monday 19 April 2010, on each day pupils will know which Homework to expect and will be able to get into good routines.
The Plan… Each pupil will be issued with a Homework Pack and their own personal timetable to go inside the pack.
The Idea… When pupils then receive their Homework for that particular day, they can put the materials straight into the pack, whether it’s an exercise book or a worksheet, ready to take out at home with all the stuff they need in the same place.
The Benefit… You as parents and carers will be able to see what homework your child should have on that day by looking on the Homework Timetable inside the pack. You can also download and print your own personal copy to have at home by following the links further on in this article.
The Theory… When your child gets home, they will take out their Homework Pack and be able to share information with you on the homework they have and be able to complete it. There will also be an opportunity for your child to complete homework during morning registration once a week.
Please click on the relevant link below to access your child’s personal timetable:
Should you have any further questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at school.
