Light up a Life
On Sunday 6th December, a group of Year 11 students (accompanied by Miss Pelter and Mrs J Roberts) attended the Light up a Life Ceremony at St John's Hospice in Clatterbridge to remember their friend, Daniel Watson, who sadly lost his long battle against leukaemia in October this year. They were joined by Daniel's mum and their own parents for this very moving service of carols, prayers and readings. Jessica Grundy, Liam Dolan, Lily O'Sullivan, Daniel Small and Becky Griffin raised £98 through lunchtime collections at Ridgeway to sponsor a light for Daniel. His name will be entered in the Book of Remembrance at the hospice and his light will remain lit until 6th January 2010.
