Thank you to our pupils, staff, parents and community for voting for our school in the 'Echo School of the Year' competition.
With your help we were able to make it to the final shortlist of 5 schools. In fact, we actually received more votes than any other school placing us TOP out of 100 schools!!! Which was overwhelming!!!
With making the final shortlist, our Headteacher, Ms Roberts, was then required to visit the Echo buildings in Liverpool and present, to a select panel, why Ridgeway deserved to win the competition. Below is a picture of Ms Roberts accompanied by two of our Year 10 pupils.

When the final decision was made, regrettably Ridgeway did not win, however our efforts to win the competition were praised with particular emphasis on our pupils, staff, parents and community who made the effort to vote for us. We would like to extend our thanks as finishing top of 100 schools across the Northwest was a fabulous achievement in itslef and its all thanks to you.
Who knows, maybe we will have a little luck next year. In the meantime, keep watching our website to see developments in our 'place to be' area.
