By the time the new intake of pupils comes to us in September most of their parents will already have attended two meetings at which aspects of the life and work of the school will have been explained. Prospective pupils will receive a full induction course including visits to the school for 'taster' lessons, and a detailed pupil information pack.

Meetings are held annually for all age groups at which parents can consult teachers about their child/ward's progress. Sometimes special meetings are organised to explain specific situations or to give information. Letters indicating the date are sent nearer the time. Many parents involve themselves positively in the school. The parents elect five of the Governors. A number have offered their services voluntarily in helping with a variety of tasks. Others offer advice and expertise. Some have useful contacts and give valuable assistance by accompanying educational visits. These things are mentioned in order to underline the positive attitude that we take toward parental involvement.
