Raising Standards

Extended School Day

Ridgeway offers an extended day to help students prepare for their examinations.

All Year 11 pupils are strongly encouraged to attend these extra revision sessions which take place from the very beginning of thr academic year in September. The sessions cover all subjects and are run every night of the school week.

In addition we also run booster sessions for different subjects on Friday evenings and occasional Saturdays, which are organised by our Year 11 Mentors and take place in the Business Centre of the CLC.

Some departments also organise weekend trips to the Peace Centre in Warrington for students to work on their coursework in a quiet environment with the support of their teachers.
